Trademarks and Brands
Synopsys’ trademarks, service marks, and brands (referred to here as “trademarks”) are Synopsys’ intellectual property and are valuable assets. Synopsys’ trademarks must be used properly. The following guidelines apply to Synopsys’ employees, customers, licensees, consultants, outside vendors, and other third parties. Follow these guidelines to ensure correct and consistent use of Synopsys’ trademarks.

• Refer to the most up-to-date list of Synopsys trademarks (see below).
• Always use the proper spelling of the trademark.
• Never use acronyms in place of the trademark and never hyphenate or abbreviate the trademark.
• Always use the proper trademark symbol (i.e., ®, TM, or SM) in connection with the trademark. If the symbols cannot be used in superscript mode, use parentheses (i.e., (TM), (SM) or (R)). The first appearance of the trademark in any given use must be followed by the appropriate trademark symbol. It is acceptable to omit a symbol in headlines, titles, subheads, diagrams or tops of slides, but the next use must include the appropriate symbol.
• Use the Synopsys trademark as an adjective followed by an appropriate noun (or as a standalone graphical element, such as on packaging). Do not use the trademark as a verb or noun or in the possessive or plural forms. Exception: When used as the company name, do not use a trademark symbol, e.g., "Synopsys Reports Widespread Adoption..."
• Do not incorporate Synopsys trademarks or logos into third party product names, service names, trademarks, logos, or company names, or adopt marks or logos that are confusingly similar to Synopsys’ marks and logos.
• Identify Synopsys as the owner of the trademark, e.g., [Mark] is a trademark of Synopsys, Inc. in the U.S. and/or other countries.
